I lay out several thoughts in response to the dramatic weekend pertaining to our state.
Hi Brandon-thanks for the follow up. If a story is important, it should be followed up on, relentlessly, followed up on with politicians specially. The biggest problem with this story is is appears to have been going on for 7 years, that’s a really long time for a story to be low-balled. Perhaps we have reached a point in the USA when it’s impossible for government to honestly care for those most in need, because federal funds are too easily stolen. It may well be time for caring for others should return to the local sphere, i.e. churches, philanthropists, private foundations. Milton Friedman captures profound human foibles in his 1 ½ minute explanation on how we spend money. https://video.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?fr=yhs-infospace-mm_quickprint&hsimp=yhs-mm_quickprint&hspart=infospace¶m1=l5ob7fltcpf8v0bmqo30u3wa&p=milton+friedman%27s+4+ways+to+spend+money&type=ud-c-us--s-p-q43nvgaa--exp-none--subid-none#id=1&vid=b63adaaf5314c2a0040799484a5268d0&action=click
This is great, thank you. I've long been a fan of Friedman's yet I actually hadn't heard this little lesson of his. How applicable here in Minnesota today!
I'm with you on the local sphere needing to step up.
