He operates Jungle Beat Adventures.
I met Ras when living in Tanzania back in 2014, and we've stayed in touch since. In that time, he's gotten married, had a son, and has been leading his safaris.
For a while now, though, Ras has had to rely on another company's truck to guide his tours, which means much of the earnings go to them. Ras does have his own truck. It just needs servicing—specifically, the turbo. Without this fixed, he's not able to take people out in his own vehicle.
So, following our foundation's successful partnering with Tanzanian corn merchant, Kalistus, we now see this opportunity with Ras as another to invite folks to help an East African small business.
