Its a chicken/egg problem. Most people want to be mature before having children, but most people get nearer maturity BY having children. Becoming a parent offers a new level of responsibity, and the opportunity to step up into it. Sure it doesnt always happen, but what does in this world? How does one prepare for jumping out an airplane?
There is a fear/anxiety component to this equation, and our world is full of those.
Thank you. I've considered a similar dynamic with committing to a marriage: You do it imperfectly and work and grow while in the relationship. It's a balance. It's good children are planned and provided for, but waiting too until one is supposedly ready to be a parent isnt good either.
