First, Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Not sure if it was the luck of the Irish; perhaps it was the good fortune of the Tanzanian on the side of Ras Kibodya.
Check it out: We recently held a fundraiser for this safari guide I met when living in Tanzania 12 years ago. His truck broke down, but with the help of those who chipped in, he retrieved his truck last week from the mechanic in Dodoma two hours away.
They fixed his turbo, and now he’s ready for safari season starting up in June!
Ras says of the supporters:
“Thank you so much. They made me able to work again, and I like to meet them.”

SEEKING YOUR QUESTIONS FOR THIS INTERVIEW
A Minnesota deer farmer's video clip is making the rounds on Twitter. Conservatives are sympathetic to his farm being forced to shut down by the state gov't. This goes for all deer farms in the state (and elk, I believe).
I know the man - Steve Porter - from a story I did for the Star Tribune about the grey wolf issue here in Minnesota and the work Steve does advocating for hunters. So I reached out to him yesterday and am going to interview him about this farm issue.
❓Do you have a question you all would like me to ask him?
The issue is about the disease CWD spreading through deer populations in the state and the responsibility experts say lie with such farms as his. I'm personally affected because the deer are few where we hunt in northern Minnesota, and I've relied on some scrumptious elk from a farm to fill my freezer in past years.
Many Minnesotans appreciated the availability of elk (and venison, I presume) these farms offered. But now the elk farm an hour from me is no more.
