Dear Readers:
After a few years of compiling and editing, I’m thrilled to announce this wholesome, uniquely American story premiering tonight!
It features senior couple Eldora & Joe living in the middle of nowhere, Wisconsin, whose home is a gallery. From the driveway to the backyard, their space is filled with indoor and outdoor work bursting with color and positivity (with the exception of Joe’s reflections on his Vietnam days).
Yet their story is much more: They lived off-the-grid in a cabin they built with their own two hands. And their spiritual journey went from meeting at a seance to finding Christianity.
Ironically, as artists themselves, this is a story they never intended to have created. But a coincidental camping trip in their area, and curiosity drawing my friends and me in, led to an introduction a few summers ago with several return visits and interviews.
