Earlier
projects consist of electro-acoustic soundscapes such as GoldGlow,
Manic and Last Minute; and works for instruments and electronics, such as Seven
Waves (flute & electronics) and Burnt
Out (piano, percussion, and electronics). A series of works made
between 1993 and 1996 made a particular exploration of experimental
vocal techniques: In Sunlight, to
the last syllable and Vox Mecanix.
More recent projects
tend to combine media in audiovisual works such as Songlines
and Zoetrope. In addition, an area of exploration
has been the incorporation of improvisation and live
sampling.
Many of these elements
were brought together in a large-scale installation at the Watershed
in Bristol, Periphery, and were developed
further in the photo-booth installation RememberMe.
